Green Shift is a music and comic book store in Tampa, Florida, which is located near the intersection of Nebraska and Hillsborough, right off I-275.


The Green Shift Story.

Green Shift Music and Comics has been serving the Tampa Bay Area since 1983. We have loyal customers from our Seminole Heights neighborhood, Midtown, SoHo, the Urban Corridor, USF (go Bulls!) and the greater Tampa Bay area including Brandon, Lutz, Clearwater, St. Pete, Seminole, the Beaches, Sarasota-Bradenton and beyond. We are very proud to serve our friends from around Florida. Talla hassee, Gainesville, Miami, St. Augustine, Fort Lauderdale, Naples, Ft. Myers and Jacksonville residents mathe the long drive to the Shift. (If we forgot anybody we are sorry. We have clients that travel from Berlin, Paris, London and other overseas locales just to come to the Shift. Stop by and check out the shift. It is not like any other place. People comment that the Green Shift experience is like stepping into a time machine, and we are proud of it!

We are glad to serve your guitar and bass needs to the best of our ability, whether you are a pro, semi-pro, jammer, or a raw beginner. We will not talk down to you, or try to sell you something you don't want or need. If we do not have it, we will try to get it for you. If we cannot get if for you, we will send you to another local shop that may be able to fulfill your needs. We sell new and used instruments at fair prices. We set up all instruments prior to putting them on the sales floor, so you know your axe is ready to enjoy. If for some reason you are not happy with the set-up we will gladly try to adjust it to your liking.

All our new instruments and amps are discounted. We clearly post the manufacturers suggested retail price, and our discounted price, so you know precisely how much you are saving. We are deep discounters so our prices are competitive with the box stores. The difference is we have personalized service. We will treat you as part of the Green Shift family, not as a number or statistic. We will try our best to make you feel at home. U nlike the "internet", you can come in with your gear and demonstrate our product with your stuff. We encourage you to demo a potential purchase with your setup so there will be no surprises. No guess work at Green Shift. What you hear is what you get! This is not to say we are perfect, but when we do err or make a mistake, we will do our best to correct any issue in a timely manner to your satisfaction.
